“Chloe Purcell of Milner Strategic Marketing has been helping to develop the MH100 publicity material for our Inaugural Event and Radar Talk at the University of Suffolk. We are very pleased to say that the event was a sell-out three weeks prior to the event. MH100 thanks Chloe and Milner Strategic Marketing for their good advice and help in bringing about this early success.”

Early in 2014 Peter Davies conceived the idea of celebrating the centenary of the development and inhabitation of Martlesham Heath – from just a heath, to the thriving village, industrial and commercial area it is now. The story began in 1917 with the arrival of the Royal Flying Core, making 2017 the centenary year.
Peter brought together a small group of volunteers in 2014, who formed a committee with Peter as Chairman. That group of volunteers has been working since 2014 to organise a centenary event in 2017 and to provide a lasting legacy of historical resources about Martlesham Heath’s first 100 years, for all to use. MH100 has been a Registered Charity (Number 1164786) since December 2015, with those aims and objectives.
